Friday, June 13th, 2008Man, is it about time. I’ve always hated the cluttered MySpace interface (one reason I’m on Facebook instead), so it’s nice to read about their upcoming relaunch of “MySpace 2.0.”
You can read the full rundown of features on TechCrunch, but here’s a quick highlight, and a couple screens.

Covering Your Tails
Thursday, June 12th, 2008Amid all the hub-bub of the shave-o-matic premiere we managed to release a new starter site/blog for VetCareComplete, a new pet health insurance company in Richmond, VA. Because they were just coming out of the blocks we were able to help with overall brand planning, the new identity and tagline and the stage 1 site. [...]

Strawberry Shortcake’s Extreme Makeover
Wednesday, June 11th, 2008In a celebrity expose, the New York Times reports on Strawberry Shortcake’s continued makeover. The 1980s superstar was feeling a bit doughty in this 21st century…so she’s had work done and continues to adopt significant wardrobe and dietary changes. In recent years her eyes and cheekbones have been “enhanced,” bloomers were tossed out in favor [...]

Feltron Annual Report
Thursday, June 5th, 2008Just paged through the Feltron 2007 Annual Report from designer Nicholas Felton. Pretty cool on two levels (at least). The way he’s presented and visualized the data is awesome…a different approach that communicates simply and powerfully. But the actual data collection itself is the really interesting part. He’s chronicled an entire year’s worth of his [...]

There’s No “My” In “We”
Wednesday, May 21st, 2008It’s about time that all the internet-related “my” hype dies. Isn’t the “Me Decade” supposed to be over? Wasn’t that the 80s or 90s? Together, WE can end the MYbrandname.com trend. It’s not really just your brand anyway, is it?
So, here’s to more “we” in our lives. We = community, connections, social networks, etc. [...]

Photo Shoot BTS
Thursday, May 15th, 2008Spent all day yesterday at a photo shoot for a new website we’re working on for an assisted living community. Bishop Gadsden is more like a swanky resort than you’d imagine. We stayed so long we had the residents calling us by first name towards late afternoon.
I brought along my camera to capture the process [...]

Brand Perception Tool
Thursday, May 15th, 2008Having fun with Noah Brier’s latest application….Brand Tags. It’s simple and fun, and actually an interesting little brand research/feedback tool. You see a brand/logo…and then type in the first word you associate with that brand. Then check what everyone else thinks through a tag cloud. Some results are funny, some are downright scary.
At top is [...]

Social Media Marketing Links With Zemanta
Tuesday, April 29th, 2008Image by Tom Raftery via Flickr
A while back we wrote about Zemanta, which is a plugin that scours the Web for related posts and images based on what you start typing in Wordpress or favorite blogging program.
This is our first test with it, and I can say that it’s pretty sweet. I started the title [...]

Yesterday we heard just how much elementary kids love their virtual plush toy world in the final round of a preteen research study. By unanimous vote they placed Webkinz at the top of their “favorite” and “most visited” lists…topping mega [...]
