Live An Extraordinary Life

By mike | September 12, 2008

We’ve gone and done it again… launched a major new site this week for Bishop Gadsden, an active retirement community here in Charleston.

Back in October of 2007, we began a series of interviews with residents and staff to get to the heart of what made this place tick. We distilled those interviews into key thoughts and quotes, and out of that came the idea of living an “extraordinary life”. It was literally blurted out at a meeting… but it seemed an immediate fit for the general idea that while this place is amazing (space, food, culture) it is the people that make the difference. From the residents looking to do more than simply retire to the staff that genuinely has a calling to come to work each day.

Inspiring stuff. We also added fun elements to the site… like an interactive map to make our friends at the CVB green with envy… and a profiles section to showcase 4 residents at a time and give prospective residents and their families a glimpse of the different backgrounds that make up this community.

A big THANKS and CONGRATS to Kimberly and the team at BG. They are truly the leaders in this field. The site was a big effort and incorporated input from so many people (residents, staff, development team, partners, etc.). It’s exciting that it captures that unique essence of the BG team.
