Creating a Stop Sign Via Committee

By Chris Simpson | July 28, 2008

*Update: the video was pulled or moved on Youtube, so I posted a new embed. Sorry about that.

Found this via Seth Godin’s blog the other day. I’m sure it hits close to home if you’ve been involved in creating any sort of product/ad/Web site/etc. and decisions are being made via a “committee.”

This video is office-safe, and lasts about 3-4 minutes. You don’t need volume, but it’s nice.

Hah! I came across this on Peter Shankman’s blog on Friday - you beat me by almost a week! I thought it was good. It is a great reminder to always take the extra time to properly scope a project ahead of time, and keep the messaging/creative simple and direct. Oh yeah, and that there are a lot of losers in corporate.

@Robert - thanks for the note - agree about losers, although there are losers here as well, like that Truman Sparks guy
