IKEA Instructions

Friday, September 28th, 2007

Spent the morning setting up new IKEA office product. Their instructions always add a dose of adventure to the task….but the best part about them is the featureless, chubby humanoid (aka, the customer) who demonstrates the complete mental and physical experience.

Dragon Slayer

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

Unfortunately JC (aka, Dragon Slayer) had to pull the plug on last week’s Tail of the Dragon, the annual homecoming event for southern s2000 enthusiasts. Something about the heat breathing down their necks. Nonetheless, this year’s poster was pretty sweet.

So I got a tent today in the mail. A large tent. Where better to set it up than in the main room?

(Apologies for the lame cellphone camera photography).

What do you get when you combine Millennium Music’s Feed Your Player promotion with 1,000 CDs? Free iPhones, of course.

RY has been cooking up a scheme for the past few weeks wherein he would buy CDs in bulk from eBay to augment his own personal collection. The end goal is to trade the discs in for digital lifestyle devices. We literally have stacks of these CDs piled up in the office…

Kramer would be proud.

Interesting to see the latest Wal-Mart campaign. Save Money. Live Better. The first major strategic rollout since Martin won the business. While it may not change everyone’s perception of the brand (do their savings really allow everyone to live better?)….it’s a stronger position and the work is solid.

Now if they’d just improve the seams on my Faded Glories…

Meeting Planners Get A Makeover

Saturday, September 15th, 2007

mp1.jpg

A few weeks back we launched an “under the radar” promotional website for the Charleston Area Convention & Visitors Bureau. It’s designed for the professional meeting planners out there who help organizations pull off large conferences and events. It’s a tough job that requires them to juggle demanding clients, picky guests, less than caring providers, squeezed budgets, etc. To show their appreciation and offer meeting planners an incentive to check out Charleston…the CVB presents the Meeting Planner Makeover. Take a whirl.
