Pour It Now - Skateboard Park Campaign

By blueion | March 23, 2007

Working with friend/videowiz/skater Ryan Cockrell we launched a Pour It Now campaign website…..in “about an hour”……to help forward his mission to get a new, paved skateboard park approved for Columbia, SC. The expedited production schedule was necessary to take advantage of the media storm over a recent skateboarder/police incident here in Charleston. The conflict was caught on video..hit YouTube..and just today the skater was featured on ABC’s national morning show. This will only help the drive for a better Charleston area skateboard park.

If your the city doesn’tr have a skate park, then the city is a skate park- what a load! How about the damage done to private property? Who is going to pay for that? How about donating some of these funds to repair the damage caused by illegal skating. If your city does not have a park, that is no excuse to go damaging other peoples property. I get that not having some place to skate sux, but what if private citizens damaged your newly built park, you’d be pressing charges- how about putting the shoe on the other foot?

The motto is not meant to be a threat. It is simply an observation. Cities that have good skateparks have less skateboarding traffic in their public and private properties. POUR IT NOW was created to raise the funds to build parks to lure skaters out of the streets. We are here to help. http://www.pouritnow.com
